A man was transported to a hospital wth burns after a house exploded in Essex Saturday night.
"We do know originally, we had no injuries and then someone presented themselves to first responders on scene with injuries," Bureau Chief Travis Francis told WBAL."He was immediately treated by our EMS crews and transported to the hospital."
Firefighters encontered heavy fire from the collapsed structure while two other houses sustained moderate damage.
Baltimore Gas employees were called to the scene to assist with the investigation.
Fire officials remind residents to call 9-1-1 if they detect an odor of gas.
